Article 7. Peculiarities of State management in the field of protection, reproduction and use of fish resources and other aquatic animals of the Law on Protection, Reproduction and Use of Wildlife
State accounting, cadastre, monitoring and control over the use of fish resources and other aquatic animals, as well as their study, protection and reproduction constitute a single system of public administration and are carried out in fisheries reservoirs and (or) areas according to the basin principle, as well as in fish farms.
State monitoring of fish and other aquatic animals is an integral part of the public administration system in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife.
State monitoring of fish and other aquatic animals is a system capable of ensuring the collection and timely processing of information on harvested, purchased, artificially raised fish or other aquatic animals, wholesale and retail sale of fish and other aquatic animals, export and import in order to timely identify and prevent the sale of fish and other aquatic animals of illegal origin.
State monitoring of fish and other aquatic animals is carried out by the authorized body in the field of fisheries together with local executive bodies in accordance with the rules for monitoring fish and other aquatic animals. Subjects of fisheries are registered in the information system for monitoring fish and other aquatic animals and enter data and information into it in accordance with the procedure determined by the authorized body in the field of fisheries in the field of fisheries.
